'Club is cursed' - Harry Kane illness rumour leaves Spurs fans concerned ahead of Everton clash

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been handed a worry ahead of their Premier League clash against Everton this afternoon.

Despite being pictured in full training on Friday, Harry Kane could miss Spurs' trip to Goodison Park with what is understood to be an unspecified illness.

The Spurs striker has started every league game this season, scoring six goals in the process.

But Mauricio Pochettino could be forced to rejig his attack if his stand-in captain misses the match.

Son Heung-min or Lucas Moura are capable of playing through the middle, as they have done in previous seasons when Kane was injured, and it is likely one of the pair will deputise for the England skipper if his absence is confirmed.

Some concerned Spurs supporters took to social media after the news to bemoan the potential absence of Kane.

Pochettino did not mention any problem with Kane in his pre-match press conference, but did reiterate the importance of his side showing character to bounce back from their defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

"It was an important week to recover the feelings after a tough game against Liverpool," he said.

"Important again to create that and achieve all what you want. It's a situation that only we can fix winning games. We know very well it is our responsibility to deliver a very good job and very good performance on Sunday against a very good team like Everton trying to win because it's going to be the best medicine to fix all."
