Club chief confirms interest in signing Everton transfer flop Sandro Ramirez

Real Valladolid sporting director Miguel Ángel Gómez has not ruled out signing Everton forward Sandro Ramirez on a permanent deal when the transfer window opens.

The Spanish striker is currently on loan with the La Liga outfit, and was due to remain with the club for the 2019/20 campaign.

Sandro was signed by Everton in the summer of 2017 from Malaga, but has struggled to settle at Goodison Park.

The 24-year-old has scored just one goal in 16 appearances for the Toffees, and has been shipped out on loan for the past two and a half seasons.

Since moving to Valladolid on a temporary deal in the summer, Sandro has bagged four goals in 21 appearances in all competitions.

The coronavirus suspension has cast doubt over player contracts, but Gomez says that Valladolid could explore the option of signing Sandro permanently, should the player express a desire to stay.

“Sandro has a contract with Everton, and we have to find a way around that,“Gomez told Radio Marca Valladolid, via  Pucela Fichajes.

“(We have to know) if he is comfortable here or not and wants to go on, then we can look at the characteristics of that operation and whether or not we can accept them.”
