Clothing brand launched by Manchester United's Jesse Lingard loses more than £200,000 in first year

A clothing brand launched by Manchester United player Jesse Lingard has lost more than £200,000 in its first year of trading.

JLingz, which launched in Summer 2018, owes creditors £211,688, according to unaudited results submitted to Companies House.

The “official, exclusive clothing line and merchandise” from Mr Lingard sells “ready-to-wear streatwear”, the JLingz website states.

Its brand logo is taken from his signature goal celebration.

In the report for the year ended January 31, Mr Lingard is one of three directors listed at the company, which is based in Reading, Berkshire.

The business had only been selling products for the second half of the year the accounts relate to, up to January this year, the Manchester Evening News reported.
