Clothes2order creates sales director role as it announces plans to double in size

A personalised clothing business has announced plans to double in size “over the next few years”.

Trafford-based Clothes2order, which employs 160 staff and has customers in more than 35 countries, said revenues have grown from £4.4m in 2013 to more than £13m.

The announcement comes alongside the creation of a sales director role, which it said will “help shape the next phase of expansion”.

Mark Thomas, who has worked at Lyreco and Arco, will take on the role where he will lead the customer service and account management departments and its recently-expanded team of field sales specialists.

Managing director Sam Jones said the new role reflects the firm’s ongoing investment in its senior management team.

Mr Thomas added: “I am hugely excited by the opportunity to help shape the next stage in the company’s development.

“We are in an enviable position at the forefront of our industry, having invested heavily in recent years in cutting-edge, eco-friendly garment customisation and printing technology, and we are looking to grow our product range to further broaden our customer base in the coming years.”
