There are certain sneakers that would definitely make it onto the sneaker version of Mount Rushmore. Air Jordans, Chuck Taylors and Stan Smiths, for starters. The latter's all-star status doesn't mean Adidas isn't willing to shake things up every now and then. Enter the CLOT Stan Smith Beaded by Edison Chen.
The original silhouette remains intact. In fact, the only real difference is the fringed beaded accent on the heel tab. It's just enough to make the kicks stand out, especially to anyone walking behind them. The campaign is set at the country club where Edison Chen and Hoyeon challenge "the established codes of etiquette." This isn't the first time CLOT has teamed up with the footwear brand to update old-school sneakers. The partnership resulted in the Superstar morphing into a dress shoe, while the celebrity-adored Gazelle was given an espadrille spin.
The CLOT Stan Smith Beaded by Edison Chen will run you $160 on the Confirmed app and in stores starting on June 21. The Stan Smith will receive another makeover later this season.
