Closures on St Vincent Place and Garscube Road extended due to 'engineering difficulties'

Closures on two Glasgow roads have been extended following technical issues.

St Vincent Place and Garscube Road have both had their reopening dates pushed back due to the "engineering difficulties" according to Glasgow City Council.

A previous extension to the works was issued due to the extreme weather conditions until Sunday.

Now, St Vincent Place is not set to reopen until Saturday, February 22 while Garscube Road is closed until further notice.

On St Vincent Place between West Nile Street and George Square, the road will operate in both directions for local access only. Traffic will be marshalled in this section during the closure.

Meanwhile, Garscube Road has been closed at the junction with the A81.

Diversions are in place for both routes.
