Closure to major Nottinghamshire road as work planned

A major road in Nottinghamshire is to be closed throughout the week as resurfacing work takes place,

Leake Road, which runs between Gotham and East Leake, will be made inaccessible by Nottinghamshire County Council between Monday, November 22 and Friday, November 26.

The closure will have knock-on effects for public transport, with the South Notts 1 buses diverting in both directions and not able to serve Gotham.

A daytime shuttle bus will be provided for Gotham to Clifton Pastures to connect with other services.

Buses to East Leake and Loughborough will follow their normal route to Clifton Lane, The Dip then divert via Farnborough Road, through Clifton, Ruddington, the A60, Bradmore, Bunny, right Gotham Lane and Bunny Lane to resume normal route at Gotham Road into East Leake.

Buses to Nottingham will follow normal route to East Leake / Rushcliffe Halt then continue Gotham Road, right Bunny Lane, A60, Bunny, Bradmore, Ruddington, Farnborough Road in Clifton to resume normal route from Clifton Pastures to Nottingham.
