A recently closed B&M store in Tyldesley is set to be moved to another site nearby.
The popular discount supermarket on Shuttle Street closed its doors for the final time earlier this week.
But, shoppers in the area have been given a boost with the announcement that the store will be relocated to another spot further down the same road.
The new store will be larger and will be located at the site of the former Poundstretcher and Pet Hut shop at Richmond Retail Park, a spokesman for B&M has said.
The company is planning an expansion, with the relocated store measuring in at around 26,000 sqft.
They are planning to open for business in April and an announcement on possible jobs at the new shop is expected soon.

B&M is one of a number of shops which has been allowed to remain open throughout the government's coronavirus lockdown because it is classed as an essential retailer.
Customers in Tyldesley will still be able to shop at the Leigh branch of the supermarket, which has remained open at Parsonage Retail Park.
There is also a store at Pavillion Square, in Westhoughton.
