PATNA: A day after the CBI raided a mall in Gurugram and speculations were rife that it belonged to Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the new Bihar deputy chief minister on Thursday said the shopping complex belonged to people close to BJP and even dared the CBI to launch a probe into it.
A visibly angry Tejashwi on Thursday flashed documents of a Gurugram-based mall saying it belonged to people close to BJP and added that Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar had inaugurated it.
Hitting at union minister of state for home affairs, Nityanad Rai, the younger Yadav scion warned him. Tejashwi said one union minister was trying to play the same game, which they played in Maharashtra. "line me rahen. Sab kuch thanda kiya jayega," said Tejashwi giving a warning signal.
Tejashwi also lashed out at the CBI in context to the raids conducted on Wednesday.
'CBI is a wing of BJP'
Tejashwi said, "I have got all the documents related to it. Viren Mehta and Krishna Kumar, both from Haryana are the directors and some Navdeep, who is close to BJP people, own the maximum share," and further showing the inaugural video, where Khattar and a BJP MP and a BJP mayor are present.
"What kind of investigation is the CBI doing? They thought it to be my mall and they caught BJP's mall. Now will the CBI dare to lodge an FIR against Khattar and BJP people?"Continuing his attack on the CBI, Tejashwi said the investigative agency was working as a wing of the BJP.
"They are threatening people and my sources have said that the CBI has warned people to stay away from Lalu Ji, or face the music. While CBI does nothing when drugs worth crores are being caught at a port, but people doing grade D jobs are being harassed," he said.
