A young Dublin man has tragically been killed after being stabbed to death at a house in Clontarf this morning.
The victim, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene on the St. Lawrence Road area of Clontarf just after 7am with the area currently closed off for technical examination.
One man also in his 20s has been arrested and is currently being detained at Clontarf Garda Station.
Gardai confirmed the death to Dublin Live and have launched an investigation.
A Garda spokeswoman said: "We are investigating a fatal stabbing incident that occurred at a house in the St. Lawrence Road area of Clontarf, Dublin 3, at approximately 7:15am on 13/08/2020.
"A man, aged in his 20s, has been pronounced dead at the scene. The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.
"A man, also aged in his 20s, has been arrested and is currently detained at Clontarf Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
"Garda are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact them at Clontarf Garda Station on 01 666 4800 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
"Investigations are ongoing."
