Clondalkin councillor's tweet goes viral after Irish for 'baby shower' discovered

Ever wondered how to say 'baby shower' as Gaeilge?

Well one Facebook user asked for help and received the most hilarious response.

Using the standard Irish phrase for 'it's raining' they decided to play around with it in order to create the perfect play on words for baby shower.

"Tá sé ag cur páistí" was the end result changing forever the original phrase everyone remembers being taught in junior Infants.

South Dublin County Councillor Peter Kavanagh from Clondalkin shared the joke on his Twitter page this morning, saying 'Tá sé seo foirfe' (this is perfect) which went viral receiving over 3000 likes.

According to Google Translate, the actual Irish phrase for baby shower is 'cithfholcadh leanbh' which, unfortunately, is not funny - not very funny at all.
