This is one of my favourite books. I enjoyed reading it so much that I never wanted to put it down! The trilogy is a prequel series of another series Cassandra Clare wrote, which I also loved reading so thought I'd try it out. What's good about this book is that as the author has explained, the series can be read in any order, so even if you hadn't read the rest, you'd be able to understand everything.
I love everything to do with supernatural beings, and if you do too this would be a great book for you! It has everything from mere humans to vampires, werewolves, warlocks and shadowhunters: these are humans with extra power due to their Angel blood. As some may find it unrealistic, once you read it, it does not seem strange at all and having all these supernatural beings makes it even more interesting!
I would definitely recommend this book to people, I give it 5*s.
