Dec. 21--The Clippers won their seventh consecutive home game, beating the Milwaukee Bucks, 106-102, on Saturday evening.
The Clippers are in a stretch of four games in five days in four different time zones. On Friday, they lost to the Denver Nuggets, 109-106.
With Saturday's game tied at 102-102 and just over a minute remaining, Chris Paul was fouled on a layup attempt. He made both free throws to put the Clippers up, 104-102. Brandon Knight then missed a jumper for the Bucks with 30.9 seconds remaining.
In the Clippers' final possession, Paul missed a jumper but Blake Griffin grabbed the rebound and put it back in with five seconds left to put the Clippers up, 106-102.
The game featured 18 lead changes and nine ties. The Clippers led by as many as eight points. The Bucks led by as many as nine.
The Bucks outshot the Clippers, 53.1% to 45.7%. The Bucks also bested the Clippers on the boards, 46-41. The Clippers, however, forced Milwaukee to commit 20 turnovers.
When the teams played Dec. 13 in Milwaukee, the Bucks won, 111-106, out-shooting the Clippers from the field, 57% to 43%.
On Saturday, Paul led the Clippers with 27 points and nine assists. Griffin had 24 points, six rebounds and eight assists. And J.J. Redick had 23 points, including five three-pointers.
The Clippers play at San Antonio on Monday and in Atlanta on Tuesday to close this challenging stretch.
