March 26--The Clippers began their three-game trip by routing the New York Knicks on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, 111-80.
The Clippers led by as many as 41 points, outshooting the Knicks from the field, 56.4% to 35.4%, and from beyond the three-point line, 39.3% to 21.7%. The Clippers also outrebounded the Knicks, 39-34.
It was the Clippers' fifth win in a row, and their sixth straight victory over the Knicks.
The Clippers are in fourth place in the Western Conference with a record of 47-25. The Knicks are in last place in the Eastern Conference and have the worst record in the NBA at 14-58.
Austin Rivers led the Clippers off the bench with 21 points on nine-for-10 shooting from the field. J.J. Redick had 17 points on seven-for-11 shooting. DeAndre Jordan had 14 points, making all seven of his shots, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots. Blake Griffin had 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. Chris Paul had 11 points on six-for-eight shooting and 16 assists. And Matt Barnes finished with 11 points and six rebounds.
The starters rested the entire fourth quarter.
The Knicks were led by Cleanthony Early, who had 18 points.
The Clippers were playing without Nate Robinson (sore left knee) and Jamal Crawford (right calf bruise), who missed his 11th consecutive game with the injury.
The Knicks have a much longer injury list. They were without Tim Hardaway Jr. (sprained right wrist), Alexey Shved (rib contusion), Travis Wear (sore lower back), Jose Calderon (sore left achilles) and Carmelo Anthony (left knee surgery).
The Clippers led the entire game, holding the Knicks to 33 points in the first half, a season-low in a half for any NBA team this season. The Clippers had 63 points at halftime.
The Clippers finish the trip against Philadelphia on Friday and Boston on Sunday.
