Clippers waive Luc Mbah a Moute, former Houston Rocket

The Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday announced they waived Luc Mbah a Moute.

The power forward, 32, had appeared in only four games for the Clippers this season, averaging 5.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 15.3 minutes.

Mbah a Moute signed with the Rockets in July 2017. In December 2017, he was ruled out for two to three weeks with a shoulder injury, and eventually dislocated it again in April 2018. He became a free agent in the 2018 offseason, and the Clippers signed him in July 2018.

In 61 games for the Rockets last season, he averaged 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.18 steals in 25.6 minutes.

Mbah a Moute holds career averages of 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 23.3 minutes in 686 appearances across 11 NBA seasons with Milwaukee, Sacramento, Minnesota, Philadelphia, L.A. and Houston. A native of Cameroon, he was selected 37th overall by Milwaukee in the 2008 NBA Draft following three collegiate seasons at UCLA.
