Clippers snap three-game losing streak with 111-94 win over Nuggets

Nov. 25--There won't be any heated exchanges Tuesday -- not in the Clippers' locker room, at least.

The Clippers beat the Nuggets in Denver, 111-94, earning the team a much-needed "W" after a screaming match broke out Sunday following their third straight loss.

With the win, the Clippers improved to .500, with a record of 7-7. Before Tuesday's game, the Clippers had lost five of their last seven.

The highlight of the night had to be Blake Griffin's alley-oop three-pointer at the top of the third quarter. Griffin even let out a smile.

The close runner-up: Jamal Crawford's 45-footer to close the third quarter.

Things finally went the Clippers' way as the team finished with a season-low seven turnovers, compared with the Nuggets' 16. The Clippers also outshot the Nuggets from the field, 46.8% to 39.7%.

Each of the Clippers' starters scored in double figures. Griffin had 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. DeAndre Jordan had 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots. J.J. Redick had 16 points.

Chris Paul added 15 points and 10 assists. And Wesley Johnson had a strong performance in his first start of the season, finishing with 11 points on four-for-six shooting.

The Nuggets used the Hack-a-Jordan strategy, sending him to the free-throw line for 25 shots. He made 12 of them.

Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 20 points, though he made only two of 10 from the field. The bulk of his points came from the free-throw line, where he made 16 of 17 shots. Gallinari also had 18 rebounds.

The Clippers will return home to host the Utah Jazz (6-7) on Wednesday in the second game of a back-to-back.
