Clippers’ James Harden Fires Back at Broadcaster’s Recently-Deleted Criticism

Bally Sports Southwest analyst Brian Dameris went viral Friday night when he completely dissected James Harden’s entire career before the Clippers’ game against the Mavericks. In the since-deleted video, Dameris summarized Harden’s career in just two minutes and ripped him for repeatedly getting whatever he wanted on several teams before ultimately forcing his way out via trade demands.

Bally Sports deleted the video but it remains on the internet for all to see after it made the rounds on various platforms. When talking to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, Harden addressed the video while also dismissing it.

“I didn’t even hear exactly what he said, but people were telling me he was going in on me,” Harden said. “He doesn’t know me or the situation. That would be f----d up if I went at him and started being disrespectful to him, but I can’t. They don’t know anything. They just go off what they see on social media or hearsay.

“I don’t know exactly what he said, but I pay that s--t no mind. … I do a really good job at ignoring the noise because it doesn’t affect me. It’s just people talking,” he continued. “I guarantee that if you put whoever is talking in this situation, it wouldn’t be beneficial for them. That’s my mindset, but my focus is getting wins.”

Unfortunately for Harden, he has not been successful since being traded to Los Angeles—his fourth team since 2021. The Clippers are 0–5 with Harden in the lineup and the 34-year-old is averaging 15 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game on 47.1% shooting from the field.
