Clippers Finally Beat Nuggets, Which NBA Fans Point Out Hasn’t Happened in a Very Long Time

The Clippers improved their record to 10–10 Wednesday night after a 111–102 win over the reigning NBA champion Nuggets in Los Angeles. The team hasn’t been at .500 since Nov. 6, a 14-game span that includes James Harden joining the Clippers’ lineup. 

Paul George led Los Angeles with 25 points with Harden adding 20, boosting a rally from a 15-point deficit. Denver lost despite Jamal Murray returning from injury to score 22 points and Nikola Jokic registering a triple-double with 22 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. 

Clippers fans might be happy with their team showing they can compete with the top teams in the Western Conference, which is certainly the expectation with the powerhouse trio of George, Harden and Kawhi Leonard. However, NBA observers quickly pointed out that Wednesday’s victory was the first time the Clippers beat the Nuggets in nearly two years (Jan. 11, 2022, to be exact).

The Clippers face the Jazz on Friday night and will try to move over .500 for the first time since Nov. 1.
