Jan. 04--The second All-Star fan voting figures were recently released, and DeAndre Jordan remained in 12th place among frontcourt players with 58,200 votes.
Before Sunday's practice, the Clippers' center acknowledged that he's not pleased.
"If I'm 12th in the frontcourt in the West, I wonder what I'd be in centers if we still had that," Jordan said.
In 2012, the NBA decided to allow fans to vote for three undefined "frontcourt" players instead of having to vote for two forwards and a center.
When Jordan was asked about that change, he said he was not a fan.
"Absolutely not," he said.
Jordan leads the league in rebounding with 13.6 a game, is third in the league in blocked shots with 2.3 a game, and is sixth in the league in field-goal percentage, averaging 9.2 points a game on 70.5% shooting.
"I just wish that when they called my name for the starting lineups, they would say starting at forward instead of center," Jordan deadpanned.
Jordan and his teammates feel as though he often gets snubbed. Last season, when he led the league in rebounding and was third in blocks, he was overlooked for both defensive player of the year and the all-defensive team.
"It doesn't matter," Jordan said. "At the end of the day, we're going to all be appreciated if we win a championship."
