Clippers and hairdryers worth £1500 stolen during raid at Penicuik barbers shop

Clippers, hairdryers and a cash till were stolen during a raid at a Penicuik barbers shop this week.

Top Class Barbers on the town's Bridge Street was broken into between 5.30pm on Wednesday and 12.20am this morning (Thursday, 17 December).

Crooks helped themselves to equipment worth around £1500, along with a till and its contents.

Police want to hear from any potential witnesses who have have seen strange goings-on in the area on Wednesday. They're also keen for anyone who's been offered cheap clippers or hairdryers to come forward.

DC Mark Asquith said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously around Bridge Street or the surrounding area on the evening of Wednesday, 16 December, 2020.

“I’d also urge anyone who is offered to buy clippers or hairdryers at a cut price to contact police immediately.

Anyone with information should contact police at Penicuik on 101, quoting incident number 0062 of 17 December.
