It mightn't have been until the early 2000s that Colin Farrel was a box office superstar, but the Dublin actor would have been on Irish screens in the late 1990s.
The Castleknock native made a name for himself after starring roles in Phone Booth, The Recruit and S.W.A.T.
But Irish viewers unknowingly caught a glimpse of him back in 1998 when he appeared on RTE screens - posing as a French footballer.
A 21-year-old Farrell featured in a promo video for the national broadcaster's coverage of the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
The clip, which was sponsored by HB ice cream, would play just as Bill O'Herilhy and co go would live on air.
