Clinton Morrison speaks out on Wilfried Zaha's Crystal Palace future amid Everton and Arsenal links

Clinton Morrison says Crystal Palace would need to do some "serious business" if the Eagles were to lose Wilfried Zaha before the transfer deadline tomorrow (Thursday).

The summer transfer window closes at 5pm tomorrow, with the new Premier League season kicking off this weekend.

But Zaha's future at Palace continues to be the subject of speculation, with Arsenal and Everton having both been linked with signing the 26-year-old this summer.

Arsenal have signed Zaha's Ivory Coast team-mate Nicolas Pepe in a club record deal worth around £72million, while Everton are also still interested in signing the Eagles ace before the deadline.

However, former Palace striker Clinton Morrison believes Arsenal would have been Zaha's preferred move, adding that he is hopeful the 26-year-old will stay in south London and line up against Everton on Saturday at Selhurst Park.

“I think he has served Palace well for many years, he just wants to go to a bigger club," Morrison told Talksport.

“His ideal club I think was Arsenal, he supported them as a kid and he wanted to go there, but he is not a guy who will go back to training and throw his toys out of the pram. He will get on with his job.

“But it would be a massive blow for Crystal Palace if they were to lose Zaha now before the window shuts, with only one day to go, because they would have to do some serious business.

"They would probably need three or four more players, if he goes."
