Clinton Morrison has his say on where Spurs will finish in the league and on Adama Traore deal

Former Crystal Palace forward Clinton Morrison believes that Tottenham will just miss out on a top four position at the end of the season.

Spurs currently sit top of the table on nine points, after winning all three of their opening Premier League games this season.

Yet Morrison still does not believe they are "quite ready to challenge for the top four".

The transfer window has seen Tottenham bring in Pierluigi Gollini, Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal.

With just a few hours still to go before the transfer window slams shut, the Lilywhites seemed to be more focused on getting some players out of North London, rather than bringing anymore in.

Nuno Espirito Santo and his team will be looking to do as well as they can in the league and win some silverware for their fans, where possible.

"They might settle for fifth and win a trophy," Morrison told Sky Sports News.

"The other top four teams have spent really well."

Many Spurs fans will have wanted to see more incomings during this transfer window, with the likes of Adama Traore being linked to the club for a number of weeks now.

The former striker said that Wolves will not want to get rid of one of their key players, despite what Traore may want.

"He’ll probably be disappointed because he’ll of wanted to go to Tottenham and work under Nuno and I think he would be perfect for Tottenham," added Morrison.

"I can’t see Adama Traore going but Tottenham fans will be hoping it can happen, you never know sometimes you get that last minute (deal)."

Transfers can go right down to the wire on deadline day, so it remains to be seen what could happen in North London before the window shuts at 11pm.
