1. The Clinton counteroffensive

Hillary Clinton came out punching Monday after a weekend of breathless talk about what the FBI might have found on a computer belonging to Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

'Why in the world...'

Why in the world the FBI would decide to jump into an election with no evidence of any wrongdoing with just days to go – that’s a good question … I am sure that they will reach the same conclusion they did when they looked at my emails for the last year. There is no case here.

2. Lame change

Will the new FBI inquiry change things? 83% of Democrats told an NBC poll that the news was a distraction, while 93% of Republicans said it was important. An ABC News poll had Trump ahead of Clinton by a point in polling after the FBI news broke.

4. ‘Thank you Anthony Weiner’

Donald Trump was visibly buoyed by Clinton’s new FBI headache. “Thank you Huma! Good job Huma! Thank you Anthony Weiner!” Trump said at a rally in Michigan, where he was making a hail Mary play for victory.

5. Dems move to block voter intimidation

Taking Trump’s call for supporters to lurk at polling places seriously, the Democrats sought federal court injunctions in four states against the Trump campaign and its affiliates to prevent voter intimidation.

6. Trump stiffs pollster – report

The Trump campaign refused to pay a $767,000 bill to a Florida pollster, the Washington Post reported. Maybe lack of a pollster was why Trump did two events on Monday in Michigan, where polling averages have him down six points.
