WASHINGTON Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign Saturday increased pressure on FBI Director James Comey to provide more details of the renewed investigation into the former secretary of state's use of private email.
"Twenty four hours after that letter was sent we have no explanation why," said John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chairman. "No on can separate what is true or is not because Comey has not been forthcoming with the facts."
In his letter to Congress Friday, Comey said he couldn't say how long the review of newly discovered emails mails would take, raising the possibility that Clinton could go into Election Day on Nov. 8 with the new controversy hanging over her campaign.
It's "entirely possible" that all the emails, found on a computer shared by Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her estranged husband, former Rep. Anthony Weiner, are duplicates, Podesta said. "It's hard to see how this amounts to anything."
Late Friday, Clinton said "the American people deserve to get full and complete facts" on the FBI's actions. Early voting has begun in many states.
