Clint Bowyer shotguns a beer in less than 3 seconds to shame Dale Earnhardt Jr.

NASCAR is enjoying its first off-week since the season started back in February, and no one seems to be having more fun than Clint Bowyer — although that’s not particularly surprising.

Bowyer and his wife, Lorra, and their two kids, Cash and Presley, jetted off to Turks and Caicos this week with fellow driver Kyle Larson and his family, Lorra told For The Win.

But before the vacation could start, the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford driver stopped by Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s weekly podcast to talk about racing and reminisce about their good ol’ party days.

Prior to the podcast recording Monday, Earnhardt joked about shotgunning beers to pregame the show, and Bowyer — who famously knows how to party — was disappointed to find out Junior wasn’t serious. So he tweeted a video of him and Katelyn Larson shotgunning beers on vacation, calling out the host of the Dale Jr. Download.

Before impressively downing his beer in less than three seconds, according to FTW’s official stopwatch, Bowyer said:

“Hey, Junior! Finally found somebody man enough to shotgun a beer with me because you wouldn’t on that radio deal we were doing. Thanks a lot.”

And then Dale, like the good sport he is, responded by shotgunning a beer of his own — albeit at a significantly slower pace than Bowyer.

On the podcast, Earnhardt and co-host Mike Davis joked about how some drivers slow down partying as they get older, but questioned just how much the soon-to-be 40-year-old Bowyer had actually faded from his younger self.

Junior also responded to Bowyer’s video saying: “This cuts deep. Don’t blow a motor today.”

It’s a reference to one of their podcast conversations, during which Bowyer said he’s still waiting to grow out of his old habits and “be a better adult.”
