Climate change and a 'code red for humanity': How worried are you about global warming?

Are you conscious about helping out the environment? Do you think you do all you can to help?

Climate change is the long-term alteration of temperature and typical weather patterns, largely caused by human activity.

This week the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warned that major climate changes are inevitable and irreversible and pose an immediate threat on humanity. Evidence suggests that we must urgently reduce carbon pollution and prepare for the consequences of global warming as global heating becomes dangerously close to being out of control with humans “unequivocally” to blame.

Climate change poses a fundamental threat to places, species and people's livelihoods in many ways.

In order to do our bit, BristolLive recently launched a campaign to take immediate action against climate change, encouraging readers to #Do1Thing to help protect Bristol for future generations.

Recently, wildlife experts have been working to preserve local nature, as we revealed how the future of plans to build hundreds of homes on an area of land in South Bristol could be in doubt after experts said the land should be protected.

So, we want to know what our readers really think. Are you concerned about climate change? What do you think the government should prioritise in order to protect the environment?

We love hearing your thoughts, so all you have to do to take part is fill in our quick and easy survey below.

If the questions fail to load, click here.

Keep an eye on Bristol Live over the coming weeks when we will look at revealing the results of the survey.

Do you think we could be doing more to combat climate change? Leave a comment below and let us know what you think
