Climate activist last seen in Edinburgh returns to Scotland after arrest

A climate activist who had last been seen in Edinburgh returned to social media to tell followers she had been arrested in London.

Amy Campbell, who had not been seen since March 15, posted an update to her Facebook account where she told people that after seven weeks of being a missing person she was then arrested in London.

Amy said she had been with a group of Just Stop Oil activists at The Mall in London on the day of the Coronation when she was arrested, being driven back to Glasgow.

Updating her followers, she said: "I'm back.

"I was a missing person for seven weeks. I was arrested with a group of Just Stop Oil activists at The Mall in London on the day of the Coronation.

"Everyone else was released on Saturday evening but there was a warrant for my arrest, so I was driven back to Glasgow in a wee van. I was given bail at the Glasgow Sheriff Court for allegedly breaching a court order and breaching bail."
