Saturday's Danske Bank Premiership game between Cliftonville and Carrick Rangers has been postponed as a mark of respect to Jerry Thompson.
The young Carrick footballer passed away suddenly on Tuesday - he was 24.
The Irish League family has been left devastated by the loss of the talented young footballer.
The NI Football League announced on Wednesday evening that this weekend's game at Solitude had been postponed, as well as a number of underage games.
"The NI Football League can advise that following discussions between Cliftonville and Carrick Rangers; Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership fixture has been postponed out of respect for the late Jerry Thompson," NIFL said in a statement.
"Academy League fixtures this weekend involving Carrick Rangers Under-18’s (v. Linfield Rangers) and Under-16’s (v. Linfield Under-16) have also been postponed."
