Cliftonville make defender Joe Gorman available for free transfer

Cliftonville defender Joe Gorman looks set to leave the club.

The Danske Bank Premiership leaders confirmed on Tuesday that Gorman has been made available for free transfer.

The 25-year-old joined Cliftonville in December 2018 after spells with clubs including Airdrie, Blyth Spartans and Clyde.

The club said in a brief statement on their website: "Cliftonville Football Club can confirm that, following discussions with Manager Paddy McLaughlin, it has been agreed that Joe Gorman is available for free transfer.

"The 25-year-old defender joined the Reds in December 2018 and has made 36 appearances since his debut in the Irish Cup Fifth Round tie with Dungannon Swifts on January 5."

Cliftonville sit top of the Premiership by three points over champions Linfield.

The Reds host Glenavon on New Year's Day.
