Cliftonville announce signing of Michael McCrudden from Derry City

Cliftonville have announced the signing of striker Michael McCrudden from Derry City.

It will see McCrudden link up with Paddy McLaughlin who he worked with at Institute.

The former Championship Player of the Year moved to Derry City in February last year but his time at the Brandywell was stalled by a metatarsal injury that sidelined the 28-year-old for five months.

McCrudden's arrival is a major boost to Cliftonville as they continue their title surge this season.

The North Belfast club are three points clear at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership and are in the final of the Co Antrim Shield later this month.

Cliftonville said on their website: "Boss McLaughlin is naturally thrilled to have secured the signature of a proven Premiership goalscorer and is looking forward to renewing his working relationship with McCrudden, who is likewise delighted to have completed his move to Solitude."
