Clifton bike crash: Floral tributes at scene where woman cyclist died

Floral tributes have appeared near the scene of a fatal collision in Bristol in which a woman in her 20s lost her life.

The flowers have been placed under a road sign in Clifton in an act of remembrance for the cyclist who died in a collision involving an HGV at around 8.50am yesterday (Wednesday, September 22).

Investigations will continue today (Thursday) into the incident in Priory Road which closed roads after emergency services were called to the scene.

Avon and Somerset said that while formal identification had not taken place yet, the woman's next of kin had been informed.

Flowers were starting to be placed at Elmdale Road near the scene of the collision which is close to the University of Bristol and Bristol Grammar School.

Elmdale Road was shut and Tyndall’s Park Road was closed between Whiteladies Road and Woodland Road while police investigators worked at the scene and recovery of the HGV was arranged.

If you saw the incident or have any dashcam or other footage which could help the investigation please call 101 and give the reference 5221220784.
