Prosecutors have been handed a file of evidence on allegations of historical sex abuse made against Sir Cliff Richard.
The 75-year-old singer, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing, had his Berkshire home raided in August 2014 and spoken to police twice as part of the investigation.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said it would “carefully consider” evidence passed on by investigators to decide whether to bring charges.
"We have received a full file of evidence from South Yorkshire Police," a spokesperson said.
"We will now carefully consider its contents in line with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, in order to establish whether there is sufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction, and whether it is in the public interest to do so."
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said it had handed over all material related to its investigation on and "awaits the decision".
In a statement last year, Sir Cliff said the claims against him were “absurd and untrue” and he had “never, in my life, assaulted anyone”.
