Cliff Richard returns to Nottingham for 80th birthday tour - tickets start at £77.50

Peter Pan of Pop, Cliff Richard, celebrates his 79th birthday today (October 14) and to mark the occasion he has announced an 11-date tour, hitting the UK next year.

Yes, the singer may well be into his retirement years but ol' Cliff shows no signs of hanging up his guitar just yet - and instead will be celebrating his next landmark birthday on the road with The Great 80 Tour.

Making his way from Glasgow to Brighton, the hit-maker will stop in Nottingham on October 2, for his only date in the East Midlands.

Taking to the stage of the Royal Concert Hall, Cliff promises a night dedicated to the songs of his 60 plus year career, which has included 14 number one singles and seven number one albums.

Tickets are priced £77.50 to £87.50 from trch.co.uk go on general sale on Friday, October 25.

But eager fans can get their hands on some a day early by signing up to the Royal Concert Hall mailing list.

Last time Cliff was in the city he stopped of at Tarn Thai, in George Street, for a bite to eat (pictured below).

The 2020 UK tour kicks off on September 23 at Gateshead Sage with dates scheduled throughout the UK, including Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall, Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall and two final nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall, which coincide with his 80th birthday celebrations.
