Clever hidden iPhone camera trick helps you capture the perfect action shot

The iPhone has lots of useful features to help you improve your photos - from filters and brightness controls to "Portrait mode", which automatically blurs the background to make your pictures pop.

But even with these tools at your disposal, capturing the perfect shot when you've got a dog running around or an impatient toddler who refuses to sit still is no mean feat.

Enter "Burst Mode" - a feature that is often forgotten about, because it's not very obvious how to access it in the iPhone's camera app.

As the name suggests, Burst Mode works by taking a burst of photos in quick succession, allowing you to flick through and pick the one which best captures the moment.

The way to access it is simply by pressing the shutter button - but rather then just tapping it once to take a picture, hold it down for a few seconds.

Your iPhone will snap 10 photos per second until you release it, and then automatically select the one it thinks is best.

If you think it's chosen the wrong one, go into the Photos app and tap on the picture in question, then tap "Select" at the bottom of the screen.

You can then scroll through all the pictures your iPhone took while you were holding the shutter button down, and pick the one you like best.

You also have the option to save multiple shots from the burst, to create a photo sequence.

Just remember to delete any you don't like, to avoid clogging up your iPhone's storage.
