Clever Edinburgh dogs wanted to star in opera show at Usher Hall

Most owners think their dogs are the cutest of the lot - but do you think yours has what it takes to become the star of the show?

Obedient Edinburgh pooches are wanted to star in a professional opera show La Boheme, which is coming to the capital and Glasgow.

Set in Paris, La Boheme is a moving tale of love and loss, following the story of Mimi, starring Elena Dee, and her penniless writer, Rodolfo.

Muzetta’s dog will also make an entrance and Ellen Kent Productions are looking for local dog owners to nominate their four-legged friends for the part.

The dates of the production and how to apply

A production of La Boheme will be staged at Edinburgh's Usher Hall and the Royal Concert Halls in Glasgow, on:

  • February 26 – Usher Hall, Edinburgh

  • March 2 – Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow

To audition your dog, send a photograph to angela@ellenkent.co.uk.

Applicants must include: a contact number and address as well as the breed, height, weight, age and name of the dog.
