Cleveland Browns ace Myles Garrett leaves hospital after flipping Porsche in horror crash

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has now been discharged from hospital after being involved in a horrific car crash shortly after practice.

Garrett and a passenger in his car were taken to hospital on Monday after a car crash near their training facility in Berea, Ohio. They were both transported to a local hospital after suffering non-life threatening injures, and have since been discharged.

Nicole Lynn, agent of the NFL star, said that her client did not break any bones and that he was 'alert and responsive' during tests for other injuries. Garrett was driving a Porsche at the time, and it flipped multiple times during the crash.

Upon seeing the chilling pictures of Garrett's car, it's clear that his injuries could have been severely worse. Although the Browns star is responsive and with no 'life-threatening' injuries, it remains to be seen how this impact his season.

A statement was released by Lynn, which read: "Myles Garrett was involved in a one-car accident this afternoon and was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated. The Garrett family would like to thank the medical personnel that got Myles and his passenger out of the vehicle and safely transported to the hospital."

It's not proven what caused the crash, which is said to have happened around 3pm on Monday. But according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Garrett was swerving to miss an animal on the road, but crashed while trying to level out, causing the car to flip.

Weather could also have played a huge factor as there was heavy rain around the training facility that day. However, NFL fans won't be too concerned as to what caused the crash, and more so that Garrett is alive and well.

The defensive end has become a favourite amongst Browns fans, and that may be down to his amazing sack record. Garrett has 61 sacks in 71 regular season games since the start of 2017, and has become a key part of their defence.

The Browns are currently 2-1, although they should really be undefeated after they somehow threw away the lead against the New York Jets. The Browns were 13 points ahead with just two minutes to play, but somehow the Jets came back and stunned everyone with a grandstand finish.

The game would've gone to overtime if it wasn't for a missed PAT, but the defeat is a blemish on a brilliant record to start the season. Many are even backing the Browns for an AFC Championship run, although they'll want Garrett to be fit to boost their chances.

Garrett is still under close examination to discover the extent of his injuries. The Browns next face the Atlanta Falcons before a tough match against the LA Chargers.
