Clevedon man supplied Class A drug to teens at party

A middle-aged Clevedon man admitted supplying teenage partygoers with a Class A drug.

Simon Bradbury attended the bash in 2016, Bristol Crown Court heard.

When police investigated alleged drugs offences Bradbury told them: "It was Ecstasy."

The 46-year-old, of Carice Gardens in Clevedon, pleaded guilty to possessing MDMA with intent to supply.

He also admitted being concerned in the supply of MDMA.

Judge Martin Picton handed him a nine months prison sentence suspended for 12 months, with 120 hours of unpaid work.

The judge told him: "You made available to others Class A drugs. They were younger than you, but aged over 18. It was open house.

"Some people you didn't know well.

"It was a dangerous thing to do, you didn't know what harm it may cause people."

Christopher Smyth, prosecuting, said Bradbury told police he had obtained 5.6g of MDMA which he made available to teenagers at the party.

Mr Smyth said all but 0.063g of the drug was consumed by partygoers.

Sarah Regan, defending, said: "He admitted it in interview."

She urged the judge to follow recommendations on sentencing offered by the probation service.
