Clemency dreams remained on hold Friday despite Patti Blagojevich’s optimism

Patti Blagojevich appeared on the porch of her Ravenswood Manor home Friday evening with welcome home balloons for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich as seen in this tweet by Chris Sweda of the Chicago Tribune.

Despite the message on the balloons, it remained unclear Friday night if a grant of clemency for the former governor by President Trump was any closer to becoming reality, according to Sun-Times’ sources.
