Cleetus Nombil reportedly set for three-year Hearts deal

Hearts are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a three-year deal for Ghanaian winger Cleetus Nombil.

The teenage wide man was on trial with the Jambos recently and featured in a closed door game against Queen of the South in March.

Manager Craig Levein said then that he’d get him back in this summer for another year, but the Daily Mail reports the club are set to offer him a contract, beating off competition from the likes of Schalke 04 and Club Brugge.

A work permit would be required for the player, who currently plies his trade with Dreams FC in his home land.

He does have experience of European football, having been on loan with Czech outfit Sparta Prague, but a permanent move fell through due to visa problems.

Nombil also had a trial spell in Sweden with AIK Stockholm.
