With only a week to go until results day, now's a good time to start gearing up for Clearing.
That is, of course, unless you're absolutely sure you're going to get the grades you need to sail into your first choice of university and course ...
Whatever the case may be on August 16 - the day A-level results come out, as if you could forget - EducationGuardian.co.uk will be on hand to help, both before and after.
You can already find out about what Clearing is, and advice on how to cruise through it, on our website. And you can read about the experiences of students who went through the process last year and came out the other side, much better off in most cases.
Even those who don't face Clearing could learn something from their stories. The advice university staff gave them to get through the Clearing process is sound for everyone.
For instance, should you get the grades to take your pick of university and course, it might still be worth taking the time to make sure it's the right choice for you. It will be three or four years of your life you're signing up for, after all. Best to be sure.
You can find out about universities and the courses they offer from our interactive league tables.
And we've also got all sorts of advice on what to expect from university and how to prepare for student life, from navigating the financial side of things to making friends in Freshers' week.
This year, we're also offering an exclusive service where users can post questions to a qualified Clearing agony aunt, who will be live online answering your questions next week. So, if you have a question, log in and post it here.
Take a look at our Clearing page and let us know what you think. And good luck next week!
