Here is the Leeds United morning digest on Thursday, August 13.
Leeds urged not to give up on 'perfect' transfer for Liverpool star
Darren Bent has urged Leeds United not to give up in their chase for Harry Wilson.
The Whites were strongly linked with a move for the Liverpool starlet this summer but recent reports have claimed that their interest in the 23-year-old has cooled.
Whether that is down to Liverpool’s asking price for a versatile midfielder they do not wish to sell, or simply Marcelo Bielsa preferring to look at other targets is unclear.
Yet Bent is a big fan of Wilson following his impressive loan spells at Derby County and Bournemouth.
Talking up the Wales international’s potential, Bent said that a move to Elland Road could well be the perfect way to unlock Wilson’s talent.
Clear Juan Foyth message sent
Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media following the latest developments in the Ben White saga.
The Whites have already seen bids of £18.5m and £22m turned down and it appears their latest offer has also been rejected, according to reports.
Brighton are said to value the 22-year-old at around £40m but interest from Liverpool and Chelsea could push that higher.
Juan Foyth is another defender who Leeds have been linked with this summer and Whites fans have sent a clear message to their board over what should happen next.
Sheffield United insider explains transfer strategy
Sheffield United is a name that has been mentioned regularly since Leeds United won promotion from the Championship.
Chairman Andrea Radrizzani and chief executive Angus Kinnear, to name but two, have each raised the Blades as an example of a club that has recently been promoted and done more than survive.
More importantly, Chris Wilder’s side have done so without breaking the bank or losing the identity which took them from League One in the first place.
If the Whites really are looking to take a leaf out of the Bramall Lane book through this transfer window and into the top flight, what does the Blades way really mean?
