A contract cleaning company is expanding again as it celebrates its 22nd birthday.
Stoke-on-Trent-based 1st Time Clean has taken on 10 new cleaners and won eight new contracts in the last few months – taking its total workforce to 40.
The Burslem business is also experiencing an increase in emergency sanitisation call-outs in response to companies having staff who have tested positive for Covid-19 – and a rise in demand for businesses wanting regular sanitisation services.
Business owner Clint Parr said: “We know how lucky we are to be expanding in what has been such a tough time for so many companies.
“Obviously coronavirus has put a spotlight on the need for enhanced cleaning procedures and sanitisation processes, especially the emergency call-out service.
“As a result, we have won new contracts across the country and it’s been an exceptionally busy time for us.
“Since our 21st birthday last year we’ve had a real focus on building our client base in Staffordshire and Cheshire.
“We’ve invested in marketing and are really glad to see that the investment is paying off as we’re getting more and more work in the area.
“Much of it has come from referrals which we’re really pleased about as it shows how happy our clients are with the standard of work we deliver.”
1st Time Clean is a family-run business which specialises in four aspects of contract cleaning.
The company offers sanitisation and infection control, high-level cleaning solutions, office cleaning and kitchen extraction systems.
And now, as winter approaches, the company expects to recruit even more employees in the coming months to help meet the increasing demand for its services.
Clint – who took over the running of the company from his father eight years ago – added: “We’ve submitted bids to win more contracts locally and if we’re successful our aim is to take on more staff by Christmas and invest even more money into new equipment to help us sustain growth.
"We fully expect to get more calls about emergency sanitisation with the number of Covid cases sadly expected to rise in the coming months.”
