Cleaning fanatic's tip for 'melting away' toilet limescale overnight costs just 37p

Having a limescale build up in your loo can be a rather unsightly thing to look at - but it can also be a menace to clean off.

Thankfully, fans of Mrs Hinch have revealed the best way to get rid of this build up, and it should only set you back 37p per clean.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchcliffe, is a cleaning sensation with over four million followers on social media.

The Cleaning Tips Facebook page is a place where her fans can ask and give advice about their best savvy tips for a cleaner house.

In a recent post on the page, a woman was looking for help with limescale in her toilet.

She wrote: "Does anyone have any advice on getting rid of this tough toilet limescale in my new house, I've tried bleach?"

The comments were then flooded with advice for the woman, but it was one product which stuck out as the favourite among the suggestions.

One person responded: "Before you go to bed, empty the water out from the toilet and pour white vinegar down it until the morning. Repeat if necessary."

Others agreed this would be the best step forward as bleach might not be the best way of tackling this issue.

"Bleach won't work so you need to use something else such as white vinegar. Add some directly into the toilet bowl and use the brush to mix it around," another wrote.

"Leave it to work and you can also add some baking soda to create a reaction if you want to, it could be more effective. Scrub and the limescale should melt away."

You can pick up this cleaning essential from many stores, including Wilko where you can get a bottle for £1.50.

As this bottle is enough to do four toilet cleans, each one would only set you back 37p.

Other Mrs Hinch fans suggested another product which is Harpic toilet cleaner which vows to be better than bleach and will remove tough stains and limescale.

"Harpic black will do the trick, I won't use anything else on my toilets now," somebody stated.
