A cleaning fan has shared a "great idea" for those looking to clean their home but who are on a tight budget amid the cost of living crisis.
The woman suggests a cheaper way to use the Flash Speedmop, which ordinarily requires refill packs that can be quite costly over time.
Instead of continually purchasing disposable wipes, her hack involves using an ordinary washcloth.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, she wrote: "I'm not sure who this will help but if you can't afford the wipes you can use flannels.
"I use them with mine and then just wash them after. They fit well and they stay on, I also recommend you don't use white ones. After a while they just go grey (unless you're using bleach).
"Just wanted to share in case others are struggling for pennies right now like me."
The post has since attracted almost 7,000 likes and 1,200 comments from fellow cleaning fans — with most praising the "fab" idea.
One said: "Facecloths/flannels work really well cos you can make them as wet as you like, they go in the washing machine as well to keep them clean and fresh and using them is much kinder to the environment, I got a pack of 10 from my local Dunelm or you can pick them up for about 20p each in Home Bargains or if you have any old towels and have the time to cut them to size and hem them then its even cheaper".
A second wrote: "Done this for ages but usually just use a dish cloth or micro fibre cloth. Start off with the cloth damp and spray the floor with floor cleaner has I go the wipes are so expensive, wet through at first but soon dry out."
A third agreed: "Wow what a great tip - how did I not think of this?? Definitely going to try this . Could use dry flannels after if ur in a hurry for floor to dry too".
Another shared: "Probably cleans better than the wipes, I brought one of these when they first came out and must say I’m proper disappointed with it, the pole is so thin and flimsy and the pads just drip anywhere unless you fork out for the tub! Will try it with a flannel!"
A fifth posted: "This is a great idea- I'm definitely going to try! I have my babies old towels and might cut them up to use for this! Anything so save pennies right now".
Meanwhile a sixth commented: "Great idea you could squirt the floor with hot water and zioflora too for a nice smell or any cleaning fluid."
A seventh revealed: "Ooooooohhhh never bought one as I don’t like throwing away more than I need to! But now I might invest ! Thank you so much what a fab idea ! Plus all the penny saving! Fab".
"Great Idea and saves all those wipes going to landfill well done," stated an eighth.
Other shoppers suggested other ways to save money on using the Flash mop.
One said: "I use the cheap £1 for 20 floor wipes from Asda. Works just as good and I use the box the original wipes come in, adding a bit of Fabulosa in too. I’m a nightmare for never having a clean cloth for the spray mops to attach too which is why I got this one to begin with".
A second suggested: "I use Wilko floor wipes 70p a pack, they're quite large and fit , also use it to go round my tiles in bathroom, the head turns so it's great for across the top and corners."
