A renowned cleaning guru has shared an unusual tip for keeping your shoes smelling fresh if temperatures eventually soar this summer.
And it involves tea bags.
Queen of Clean Lynsey Crombie reckons they could hold the key to stopping your feet becoming a breeding ground for bacteria and nasty smells.
As reported in the Daily Record, she describes the trick is an "oldie but goodie".
She wrote: "There is nothing worse than smelly shoes.
"Pop a few tea bags inside your smelly shoes to fight off bad odours that are caused by heat and bacteria."
She adds: "The longer you leave the better. Any tea bags will work, even the minty herbal ones."
The science behind it involves the absorbent bags sucking the moisture out of the surrounding area.
Just remember not to use them when you go to make yourself a cup of tea afterwards...
