Doing a big clear out can be a daunting task, especially when you're faced with a lot of clutter. Thankfully, a home interiors expert has shared the 'perfect' method to tackle overflowing cupboards and wardrobes - and all you need is four baskets.
The fast and simple system helps you easily separate items and stops you from binning perfectly good clothes or electronics that could instead be sold from some extra cash. Posting to her Tik Tok account @gillaleighhome.designs, the cleaning expert first shows how to prepare for the clear-out before you even open the first drawer.
In the clip, she sets out four baskets that are each designated for items to keep, donate, sell, or bin. The interior designer recommends labelling each container before you start to stop you getting confused halfway through the clean.
In the video, Gilla throws soft items into the basket - clearing through the clutter in a matter of seconds.
"Empty into bags as they fill up and keep going," she recommends
"Take these four baskets with you room to room throughout your home."
In response, viewers were quick to praise the hack, with several sharing their delight in the comments. "I love this idea," said one person. "Perfect," agreed another.
