Most of us spend more time that we'd like on kitchen chores and any ideas on how to cut down on cleaning jobs tend to be seized upon.
The latest hack set to impress is a solution - costing just a few pence - to break down burnt food and grime which involves only two basic ingredients we have in our homes - and little elbow grease. And a cleaning expert calls it the 'most effective' kitchen cleaning hack around.
People know cleaning ovens regularly makes life easier but often it's a task that gets postponed and then deep cleaning it becomes big and grimy job. There are plenty products around that can help with the labour but they can be expensive. But the cleaning professional has revealed how to make the job of tackling oven grease and grime that much easier - by using ingredients most people already have at home.

Speaking to the Express, Shirley Langridge, a professional appliance cleaning technician at Fantastic Services, urges people to clean their oven with baking soda, calling it "one of the most famous and effective eco kitchen cleaning hacks". She said: "It not only helps neutralise foul odours, but it can be used to clean ovens, microwaves, and tile grout.
"It’s also inexpensive and universally available." But in order to "maximise the effectiveness" of the househould in ingredient, she says the baking soda must be stored properly. "The best way to ensure that is to keep it in an airtight container in a cool, dry place."
And when tackling the job of scrubbing,the oven, Shirley recommends pairing baking powern with white vinegar for the best way to break down grease and grime. She said: "Cleaning your oven overnight with baking soda and white vinegar is one of the most effective combinations when it comes to keeping your oven clean.

"Use a bit of water and mix it with the baking soda to create a paste. Rub the paste on the inside of your oven. Don’t forget the racks and the glass door too.
"Ensure everything is coated really well and let it sit overnight. The next day, the baking soda mixture should be completely dry.
"Fill an empty spray bottle with undiluted white vinegar and spray the inside of your oven really well. Close the oven door and let it sit".
Once the mixture has been left to took for one to two hours, you can then take a sponge or cloth to gently rub away dirt, moving in circular motions for the best results.
Shirley added: "You’ll be surprised that all the grease is coming off easy. Rinse off the rag, and make sure all traces of the baking soda mixture are gone. However, if it’s been too long since you last cleaned your oven, you may have to repeat the procedure".
While many people have praised the ingredient as a cleaning aid for decades, cleaning obsessives on TikTok are discovering that it can be utilised in all sorts of ways, reports The Mirror.
One woman was amazed by the before and after results when she cleaned her shower head using white vinegar, having poured the vinegar into a plastic bag before putting the shower head inside it and leaving it overnight.
The next morning, she revealed numerous particles floating around in the bag, showing how the vinegar broke down the hard scale build up in her shower.
