Cleaning enthusiast shares incredible home-made hack which leaves surfaces streak free

Trying to get your surfaces glossy and gleaming requires just the right products and a lot of elbow grease.

But one cleaning enthusiast has created a miracle solution to get cupboards and countertops streak-free using natural ingredients you will have at home.

Cleaning blogger Zara Mattison spent months concocting a home-made product with lemon, white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.

Not only does it make surfaces sparkle, it is also made with natural products and is vegan and purse friendly, too.

The mum-of-three, from Leeds, who runs blog Zara Jay, told the Record: "Vinegar doesn't smell very nice, so I wanted to make a solution that masked the smell.

"I used natural products that you can find in your cupboards. It's brilliant and it's also vegan friendly.

"People don't like having having chemicals in their home. I've found a lot of people want to have vegan products."

Zara, who posts a plethora of cleaning hacks on her Instagram page, tried and tested the product with different ingredients before coming up with the perfect recipe.

She said: "It's the first home-made product I've made. I tested it our for about a month. I've got a lot of high gloss surfaces in the house, including white cabinets in my kitchen.

"It's the first cleaner I've made but I'm hoping to start making more."

So how do you make it?

Zara's recipe calls for lemon, bicarbonate of soda, white vinegar and water.

To make the streak-free solution, fill half an empty spray bottle with the vinegar, then mix it with four tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda.

Squeeze the juice of two lemons and grate the zest, too.

Top up the solution with water if needed then you're ready to get cleaning - don't forget to buff too!
