One savvy cleaning whizz has sparked a fierce debate about how often household items should be washed, as she's revealed when she sticks certain items in the machine for a freshen up.
The Clean Snob Cleaning Specialist, who posts on TikTok as @cleansnob, captioned her informative video: "How often should you wash that? Cleaning laundry routine on how often you should wash sheets, towels, bath mats, and blankets."
In the video, she showed each item, and then told people how often they need to be washed. According to her, bath mats need to be cleaned weekly, towels need to be washed when they've been used three times and bed sheets need to be washed once a week.
When it comes to blankets, those should be cleaned every two weeks, while kitchen cloths need to be washed "daily."
In the comments, people were concerned about how much money it was costing her to wash things so frequently.
One wrote: "Water bill going to be $1000."
"I change my towels every single day lol", someone shared, and the cleaning guru responded: "That's good, do what makes you feel comfortable. Thank you for sharing", followed by a smiling emoji.
A TikToker took the post as an opportunity to complain about the people she lives with, writing: "If only the boys I live with understood this with the communally used items. Ie bath mats, kitchen cloths, and towels."
"I agree with everything!", someone praised. "Except for the kitchen cloths. I use paper towels. I can't stand the way kitchen cloths smell so I don't use them."
How often do you wash these items in your home? Let us know in the comments.
